National Small Business Week Highlights Importance of Supporting Montgomery Businesses

As National Small Business Week is observed from May 3 through May 9, residents have a timely opportunity to recognize the role small businesses play in shaping the character and strength of the community.

For more than 60 years, the U.S. Small Business Administration has marked National Small Business Week as a way to acknowledge the hard work, ingenuity and dedication of small business owners across the country, as well as their lasting contributions to the economy. In Montgomery, that recognition is reflected in the many shops, restaurants and service-based businesses that help define the township’s local identity.

The Montgomery Business Association’s – Shop Local message serves as a reminder that supporting neighborhood businesses has an impact far beyond a single purchase. When residents choose to spend their dollars locally, they are investing in the businesses that help sustain the local economy, provide jobs and contribute to the vibrancy of the community.
