Montgomery Township
Montgomery Township residents are invited to take part in a free community document shredding event on Saturday, July 19, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., in the parking lot in front of the Montgomery Municipal Building, located at 2261 Route 206.
The event is held in partnership with Montgomery Friends of Open Space, the nonprofit organization that operates the township’s popular weekly Farmers Market, creating a perfect opportunity for residents to shop local and shred securely — all in one convenient stop.
All types of paper documents will be accepted for on-site shredding. Residents are permitted to bring up to five boxes or bags per vehicle. No advance registration is required, and the event is open to Montgomery Township residents only. Proof of residency may be requested at drop-off.
Shredding sensitive documents is a safe and effective way to prevent identity theft and support environmental responsibility through proper recycling. Montgomery Township encourages all residents to take advantage of this opportunity to dispose of old bills, bank statements, tax records, and other paperwork cluttering their homes.
This event combines civic service with community spirit, underscoring Montgomery’s ongoing efforts to promote sustainability and support local partnerships.
