BELLE MEAD, NJ — A longtime Montgomery tradition returns this weekend as Montgomery United Methodist Church hosts its Annual Community Rummage Sale on Friday, Oct. 16, and Saturday, Oct. 17, offering bargain hunters a wide assortment of gently used items while raising funds for church ministries and community outreach programs. The sale will be held at Montgomery United Methodist Church, 117 Sunset Road in Belle Mead, and will feature clothing, housewares, books, home décor and a variety of other donated items. More Than 30 Years of Community Tradition
The annual event has been held for more than three decades and regularly attracts shoppers from Montgomery, Hillsborough, Princeton and surrounding communities. Organizers say the sale is about more than finding a bargain. By giving gently used items a second life, the event also encourages reuse while bringing neighbors together and generating support for the church’s charitable work. Proceeds from the sale help support Montgomery United Methodist Church ministries, community programs and outreach initiatives benefiting local families and other charitable efforts. “We love seeing neighbors come together for this event,” said the Rev. Jessica Robertson, pastor of Montgomery United Methodist Church. “It’s a chance to find great items, enjoy fellowship, and support meaningful work in our community.”

Something for Every Treasure Hunter
Shoppers can expect a broad selection of merchandise donated by members of the congregation and local residents. From clothing and books to household goods, decorations and unexpected finds, the annual sale has become a destination for those who enjoy searching for useful items, bargains and hidden treasures. The event also provides an opportunity for residents to support local charitable efforts simply by shopping.
