Montgomery Township began the new year with continuity at the top as Mayor Neena Singh and Deputy Mayor Vince Barragan were reappointed to their leadership roles during the Township Committee’s annual reorganization meeting on January 7.

The meeting opened with the swearing-in of re-elected Committee members Mike Martin and Vince Barragan, both incumbents who secured new terms in the most recent municipal election. After the oath of office was administered, the Committee moved to its organizational business for 2025.

By unanimous action, the Township Committee selected Neena Singh to continue serving as mayor for the coming year, reaffirming her role as presiding officer and public face of the governing body. In a subsequent vote, Vince Barragan was once again chosen to serve as deputy mayor, maintaining the leadership team that has overseen township policy and priorities in recent years.

The reorganization meeting, held in the Montgomery Municipal Center Committee Chambers, was well attended, with residents, volunteers, and local officials filling the room to mark the start of the new governing year. Following the formal action items, attendees were invited to stay for light refreshments, providing an informal opportunity for residents to congratulate committee members and speak with local officials.
