Seamon, Radley Power Montgomery into Next Round

Montgomery’s girls’ varsity soccer team advanced out of the first round of the playoffs with a 2–1 victory over Jackson Township, rallying from an early deficit to secure its 11th win of the season.

Jackson Township (10–11) opened the scoring in the first half when Ella Cooke converted off an assist from Zia Gould to give the visitors a 1–0 lead.

Montgomery (11–7) answered after the break, pulling even and then moving in front in the second half. Emma Radley scored to tie the match at 1–1, and Emma Seamon followed with the go-ahead goal to make it 2–1. Seamon finished with one goal and one assist, while Radley recorded one goal, and Quinn Donahue added one assist, as reflected in the final statistics.

In goal, Victoria Formica anchored Montgomery with 10 saves, helping preserve the one-goal advantage down the stretch. For Jackson Township, goalkeeper Julianna Old recorded 7 saves.
