Municipal Center Lobby and Bathrooms to Close Temporarily for Repairs

Nicholas Mistretta

MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP, NJ — Montgomery Township officials have announced temporary access changes at the municipal center as plumbing repairs are scheduled to take place later this month.

According to a township notice, the municipal building lobby bathrooms and back lobby area will be closed from Friday evening, March 27, through Sunday evening, March 29. The closure is necessary to accommodate plumbing work that will extend across the lobby floor.

During this period, residents should be aware that access to the Police Department lobby entrance from the front exterior of the municipal center will be unavailable. Instead, individuals seeking access to police services are advised to use the west-side entrance, located to the left of the building near the elevators.

Despite the temporary changes, the Montgomery Township Library will remain open and fully accessible throughout the repair work. Library visitors are asked to use the library’s restroom facilities while the municipal lobby bathrooms are out of service.

Township officials noted that all access points and facilities are expected to return to normal by Monday, March 30.

Residents planning to visit the municipal center during the affected period are encouraged to plan accordingly and follow posted signage directing them to alternative entrances and facilities.
