The Planning Board will meet tonight to review development projects and handle regular business. Here’s a breakdown of what to expect according to the agenda.
Public Comment
Residents can speak at the beginning of the meeting about topics not listed on the agenda.
Main Items Being Reviewed
1. Princeton Promenade (PB-06-25)
- The developer is requesting changes to an already approved plan.
- Updates include new signage and a model home.
2. 23 Orchard Road Redevelopment (PB-04-24)
- The Board will begin an investigation to determine if this property qualifies for redevelopment status.
What is an AINR? An AINR is an Area in Need of Redevelopment
This means the Township is studying whether the property:
- Is underused, outdated, or no longer functioning well
- Could benefit from redevelopment or revitalization
If the Board determines it is an Area in Need of Redevelopment:
- It gives the Township more control over how the property is redeveloped
- The Township can create a formal redevelopment plan
- That plan can allow for different types of development than current zoning
