Montgomery Township Committee Primary Election Results Finalized

Montgomery, NJ — The results of yesterday’s June 10th primary election for the Montgomery Township Committee have been finalized, setting the stage for the November general election.

On the Republican side, candidates Chris Venis and George DeSanctis ran unopposed and secured their nominations without challenge. Venis received 798 votes. George DeSanctis garnered 796 votes. The pair will represent the Republican ticket in the fall.

In the Democratic primary, incumbents Vincent Barragan and Michael Martin decisively won their races against challengers Amanda Baumunk and Mazhar Syed. Barragan led the field with 1,267 votes, followed closely by Martin with 1,207. Baumunk received 809 votes and Syed garnered 578.

The November election will feature a contest between Democratic incumbents Barragan and Martin and Republican challengers Venis and DeSanctis, with two Township Committee seats up for grabs.

The general election is scheduled for Tuesday, November 4, 2025.
