News outlet will not endorse candidates, accept campaign advertising or edit candidate responses

As Montgomery Township prepares for the upcoming Board of Education and Township Committee elections, Headline News Montgomery is reaffirming its commitment to independent, fair and transparent election coverage.

Headline News Montgomery does not endorse political candidates. We believe any endorsement can carry implications beyond a simple statement of support. It may raise questions about impartiality, organizational relationships, access, influence and whether future reporting or public decisions will be viewed through a political lens.

As part of that commitment, Headline News Montgomery also does not accept campaign advertising dollars from candidates, campaigns or political organizations. This policy is intended to maintain a clear separation between our election coverage and any financial interest connected to a particular candidate or campaign.

Headline News Montgomery has contacted all nine candidates seeking three open seats on the Montgomery Township Board of Education. Each candidate received the same set of questions, the same instructions and the same opportunity to participate.

We will also contact both candidates running for Montgomery Township Committee and provide each of them with an identical set of questions specific to that race.

Candidate responses will be published in their entirety and in the candidates’ own words. Headline News Montgomery will not edit, shorten or alter the substance of those responses. Each candidate will receive equal treatment and the same opportunity to communicate directly with Montgomery voters.

Our goal is to provide residents with meaningful, accessible information while allowing the candidates to speak for themselves.
