Detective Adam Verducci Promoted to Sergeant in Montgomery Township Police Department

MONTGOMERY TOWNSHIP, NJ — April 17, 2025-The Montgomery Township Committee proudly promoted Detective Adam Verducci to the rank of Sergeant during Wednesday night’s meeting, held at the Municipal Building.

Before being officially sworn in by Mayor Neenah Singh, Montgomery Township Police Chief Silvio Bett introduced Verducci, highlighting a career marked by dedication, professionalism, and service to the community. Having grown up in town and continuing to call it home Montgomery Township resident, Sergeant Verducci is deeply rooted in the community he now helps to protect and serve. He graduated from Penn State University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Criminology. In 2017, he joined the Montgomery Township Police Department and completed his training at the Cape May Police Academy later that same year. Over the past several years, Verducci has served in multiple capacities within the department, including patrol officer, field training officer, detective, and OEM (Office of Emergency Management) coordinator. He is also a member of the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Fire Investigations Unit and the Arson Task Force.

In addition to his professional achievements, Verducci has shown a steadfast commitment to the township as a long-time volunteer with Montgomery Township Volunteer Fire Company #2. Since 2008, he has held several leadership roles within the organization, further demonstrating his dedication to public service. “Tonight, I feel truly honored and blessed for the opportunity to watch Adam grow and develop both personally and professionally while working closely with him over the years,” Chief Bett said. “It is a privilege to congratulate him on this well-earned and well-deserved promotion.
