A Needed Finish for the Cougars
The victory came in a game that remained tight throughout, with Montgomery answering Lawrenceville’s third-quarter equalizer by producing its best offensive stretch in the final period. Two fourth-quarter goals proved to be the difference, and Rounds’ work in net helped protect the lead as Lawrenceville pressed late. For the Cougars, the 3-2 win provided a strong result against a Lawrenceville team that entered the game with a winning record and gave Montgomery its second victory of the season.
