Montgomery Township emergency crews responded swiftly to a serious accident on Tuesday afternoon after a tree fell on a man operating a tractor in a wooded area off Hollow Road.
At approximately 4:26 p.m. on August 27, Montgomery Police, Montgomery EMS, and Montgomery Fire Company No. 2 were dispatched to the scene near Servis Road for a reported traumatic injury. Responders found a 76-year-old male pinned to his tractor by a fallen tree.
Because of the remote location, police deployed their side-by-side utility vehicle to transport rescue workers into the woods and carry the patient out. The man was then airlifted by medevac to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick for treatment.
Authorities did not immediately release the victim’s name or condition.
