Friday Night Lights Return to Cougar Stadium This Fall

Montgomery Township — The countdown to kickoff has begun as Montgomery High School gears up for the 2025 varsity football season. While the full schedule is still being finalized, several key home matchups have been confirmed, promising an exciting stretch of Friday night football under the lights.

As of July 15, five home games are on the calendar, all with a traditional 7:00 p.m. kickoff time. The Cougars will open their season on Friday, September 5 with a showdown against Summit, a perennial contender known for strong early-season performances.

Montgomery will return to home turf on September 19 to face North Hunterdon High School, a program that always brings a physical, hard-nosed style of play. From there, the schedule intensifies with consecutive home games against Watchung Hills Regional on September 26, Linden on October 3, and Woodbridge on October 10.

All games will take place at Cougar Stadium, giving fans five early opportunities to support the team from the home stands. Times for away games and additional matchups will be announced in the coming weeks.

This season is shaping up to be one of the most competitive and community-centered yet, and Cougar fans are encouraged to mark their calendars and come out in full force.
