Montgomery Township, NJ — The New Jersey Department of Education has released the latest SAT scores, and Montgomery High School has once again proven its academic strength, earning one of the highest average scores in Somerset County.
Students from Montgomery High, part of the Montgomery Township School District, achieved an impressive average SAT score of 1,317, broken down into a 669 in Math and 648 in Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (ERW).
These results place Montgomery among the top-performing public high schools in the state. While slightly down from last year’s combined average of 1,338, the school remains a consistent academic leader in both the county and New Jersey at large. When compared with other high-performing schools across the state, Montgomery’s scores are competitive. For instance, Millburn High School in Essex County reported a combined score of 1,382, while Dr. Ronald McNair High School in Hudson County achieved 1,359. These figures highlight Montgomery High’s position among the state’s top academic institutions.
