
Girls LAX – Montgomery Cougars Dominate Season Opener with 16–2 Win Over Peddie

Montgomery, NJ – The Montgomery High School girls lacrosse team made a powerful statement in their season opener, cruising to a 16–2 victory over Peddie at Cougar Stadium on Friday.
The Cougars came out firing and never let up, overwhelming Peddie with relentless offense and stifling defense. Montgomery tallied an impressive 25 shots on goal while holding Peddie to just four, setting the tone early and controlling possession throughout the game.
Senior Elliana Pizzulli led the charge with four goals and five draw controls, helping the Cougars dominate the midfield battle. Lexi Lopez showcased her playmaking ability with a well-rounded performance, recording three goals and dishing out five assists.
Junior Emma Scrudato added three goals of her own, while senior Lexi Sambol contributed one goal and four assists, keeping the Cougar offense flowing with crisp ball movement and vision.
Sophia Soron also delivered a standout all-around performance, finishing with three goals, one assist, four total points, three ground balls, seven draw controls, and one forced turnover. Her presence was felt on both ends of the field.
