
Montgomery Girls Swim Falls to East Brunswick Despite Strong Individual Performances

East Brunswick, NJ – The Montgomery High School girls’ swim team faced a tough challenge on Thursday, falling to East Brunswick by a score of 110-60. Despite the loss, the Cougars showcased their depth and determination with several standout individual performances.
Leading the way for Montgomery was junior Zoe Bitterman, who delivered impressive times in both the 200-yard freestyle (2:06.21) and the 100-yard butterfly (1:01.13), securing key points for her team. Another highlight of the meet came from senior Nina Tadych, who dominated the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:20.42 and later placed first in the grueling 500-yard freestyle, clocking in at 5:39.05.
In the sprint events, junior Angela Liu put up a strong showing in the 50-yard freestyle, finishing with a time of 26.49 seconds. Liu also contributed to the 200-yard freestyle relay team alongside Priya Schult, Juliet Boulos, and Bitterman, where they posted a solid time of 1:44.79.
Schult continued to be a key contributor for the Cougars, leading Montgomery in the 100-yard freestyle (56.34) and swimming anchor in the medley relay team, which also featured Nina Tadych, Zoe Bitterman, and Angela Liu, finishing with a time of 1:58.60.
Other notable performances included freshman Juliet Boulos, who excelled in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:13.77), and Emily Lu, who fought hard in the 100-yard backstroke, touching the wall at 1:16.35.
