Township Honors Michelle Mistretta for Over Two Decades of Dedicated Service
On Monday, January 15, Mayor Singh, on behalf of the township committee, recognized Michelle Mistretta for her outstanding service spanning over 20 years. Mistretta, whose official retirement is set for January 2025, was celebrated for her enduring commitment and impactful contributions to the township’s operations.
Mistretta began her career with the township in March 2003 as a secretary in the engineering department. Just two years later, in 2005, her talent and dedication earned her a promotion to senior secretary. In 2007, she transitioned to the Department of Public Works, retaining her senior secretary title before advancing to administrative assistant in 2008. Each step of her career showcased her adaptability and excellence.
Mayor Singh commended Mistretta for her unwavering dedication, stating, “Michelle consistently demonstrated exceptional professionalism, diligence, and strong work ethics, making significant contributions to the efficiencies, effectiveness, and smooth operations of the Department of Public Works.”
Township Business Administrator Lori Savron echoed these sentiments, expressing her gratitude for Mistretta’s decision to extend her tenure to assist in the transition of the new Public Works Supervisor, Jeff Birkland. “Michelle is a problem solver, no-nonsense, quick-witted, and always has a smile on her face,” Savron noted.
As Mistretta begins her well-deserved retirement, the township expressed its gratitude for her years of service and wished her the best in the next chapter of her life.
